ECSC HISTORY

In the summer of 1981 with the spirit of harambee, the Ebony City Soccer Club, Lil’ Peles Soccer team was established to provide a vehicle that would help channel the energy of the area youth in a positive direction.

LIL’ PELES: THE NAME

Derived from the nickname of the undisputed Master of the game, Brazilian born soccer player Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Pele). His background as a youth was one of poverty and a determination to acquire excellence in whatever he participated in.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Treat opponents with respect
  • Play hard, but play within the rules of the game of soccer
  • Demonstrate self control
  • Respect officials and accept their decisions without gesture or argument
  • Win without boasting, lose without excuses and never quits
  • Remember that it is a privilege to represent ECSC and our community
